{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Getting my camera back and taking pictures once again, after it had been in the shop being repaired. I didn’t realize how much it felt like an extension of my own body until I was without it for those weeks and felt so odd without it.
.
…Bracken deciding that the doll he wanted was more money than he wanted to spend (while not wanting to put it on the wishlist and wait either), and asking for fabric and thread and making one himself. I loved his ingenuity.
.
…Finding that all the canning jars were on sale when I went to buy some at the hardware store. That was a pleasant surprise.
.
…That good feeling that comes with putting up food for the winter and watching those shelves fill up!
.
…Stitching and mending to make things last longer. I love being able to extend the life of the things we use.
.
…Every time I get things crossed off the to-do list, especially ones that had been on there for so long. The act of taking a pen and drawing a line through it gives me great satisfaction.
.
…Savoring the feeling of warm sunshine on my skin while summer is still here.
.
…Truth from the ones we love, even when it’s hard to hear.
.
…Jeff and Bracken having time in the garden together whenever Jeff waters.
.
…Getting to celebrate my mom’s birthday with her in person for the first time in a long time, which was so special.
.
…Laughing so hard on the drive home from market last night that I cried. My mom has a way of bringing that out in me.
