{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…How breathtakingly beautiful such simple things can be, like droplets of water on blades of grass, shining in the sun like magical bursts of light.
.
…The fact that writing down things that I am grateful for each day inspires me to look around me for beautiful things, and then brings more beauty into my life.
.
…Getting into the rhythm of having an earlier dinner, which made for an earlier bedtime routine. Since Bracken and I read chapter books before bed (and he always begs for just one more chapter) it’s always good to get things started earlier.
.
…Picking up an eyelash from Bracken’s cheek and handing it to him so he could make a wish. And then watching him take a piece of tissue and carefully wrapping it up, to save his wish for later. I never considered saving a wish for later, but saving a wish for a rainy day sounds like a good idea because you can never have too many wishes.
.
…Jeff emerging from his workshop with beautiful creation after beautiful creation. He seems to be having a lot of breakthroughs lately.
.
…How good it feels to make lots of progress cleaning up our space, and how much better organizing makes me feel. I breathe deeper when the messes are picked up.
.
…Sunshine in the windows and rainbows all over the walls, from the little crystals hanging. It always makes me think of my grandma and her crystals in the window and how much I loved the rainbows on her walls when I was growing up.
.
…Looking over to see Jeff smiling in his sleep.
.
…The miracle of getting to an appointment on time. We got mixed up on the time it started and left the house too late, but by a miracle we were there exactly on the dot. Phew.
.
…My finger finally feeling better after getting a paper cut under my fingernail. Ouch!
.
…Vacuuming out our car and washing the outside. Ahh. Much better!
