{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Seeing the honeysuckle vines all covered in buds and new growth.
.
…Going on garden walks with Bracken and having him show me the “nature preserve” he created while Jeff was splitting firewood.
.
…Trying out a new recipe. I love making new recipes and the roasted garlic broccoli turned out delicious.
.
…Jeff surprising us with a snack he had made for us, packed up, and set on the front seat in the car so we could bring it along on our town day of running errands when we got hungry.
.
…Bringing in a vase of daffodils when I saw the flowers falling over in the rain. They look so bright and cheery on the table.
.
…Bracken’s new favorite game to play in the car, that he learned from his aunt and uncle. “The Animal Game” where you have an animal in mind and everyone asks yes or no questions until they guess which animal it is.
.
…Vacuuming the rugs and then putting a few drops of essential oils on them. I learned that from my mom and it makes the room feel so fresh.
.
…Laughter to help balance out heaviness. And really fun days to balance out the not-so-fun ones. (Ugh car problems that start guzzling money, and plans going awry. Yay sunny days, blooming flowers, and fun adventures.)
.
…The electricity coming back on after it was out for much of the day yesterday. And how much more I appreciate the daily conveniences we have when we go without it for even a short stretch of time.
.
…The fact that picking up toys seems to get easier for children as they get older. Something an exhausted mother can certainly appreciate!

I look forward to reading your Gratitude Sunday entries every week. I find it very grounding. Thanks. I bought some of your buttons last year and HAVE to find something to knit for them.
