Jeff and I celebrated Summer Soltice with friends at the beach. We sat in the sand and watched the gorgeous sunset across the water, listened to the waves, and breathed in the fresh air. It felt good to be at the Ocean.
We had a warm bonfire and the sound of instruments blended with the ocean waves. There were drums, fiddle, guitar, jaw harp, and wooden flutes. We sang silly songs and watched the dancing flames. When the stars came out, we could see the Big Dipper right above us.
When I looked around at all the beauty surrounding me, I thought- ‘I’ve been weaving my favorite moments throughout my life into a colorful tapestry that I will wrap around my soul forever.’ I was experiencing one of those moments.
