Yesterday morning Jeff and I headed out to feed the animals. The wheelbarrow (an extra large sized one) was over halfway full with rain water from over the course of one night- wow! That’s a lot of rain! (we do live in the Oregon Coastal Rainforest after all.)
We had worn our crocs, which are always conveniently located next to the door to slip on quickly for outdoor activities. We soon realized that there were big puddles…everywhere. In fact it felt like our house was in the midst of a giant pond. Soon our socks got soggy and wet- and I realized that crocs are not the best shoes to wear in the Oregon winter…. note to self.
After the animals were all fed, I stood by the woodstove to dry my socks and I looked over at this little smiling Buddha keeping our aloe vera plant company.
He’s always happy and smiling…….. let’s follow his example today!
