What is our idea of a romantic Valentine’s Day? Nothing pleases us more than working together in the garden while the sun in shining. I finished my morning chores and then took the dogs on a hike up the mountain (or they took me.) On the way back down from our hike, the garden started calling me. I just had to go to the garden. Jeff was having the same draw. We delighted over all the plants already popping up. Working in the garden is so satisfying.

We planted some Catnip our neighbor gave us. Jeff transplanted the Sage I started from seed last year (because it was right in the spot where we are going to build a greenhouse.) Some of the Nettles we planted last year are coming up and that makes me very happy.
We weeded and gave the juicy treats to the chickens. I trimmed the lavender bushes. Jeff dug up beds.
We have the best start on our garden we’ve ever had. And it’s only February. That feels good.
