Yesterday it was pouring outside.
But my friend, Star, and I ventured out and harvested nettles anyway.
The rain was refreshing.
The nettles were bursting with life.
Our baskets filled up in no time.
A quiet meditation of harvesting.
The sound of the creek mixing with the sound of the rain.
So grateful for this sacred food.
And for the cozy fire that warmed us up afterward.
Topped off with some of Neila’s delicious homecooking.
