Yes, I am feeling very proud of myself. On Saturday, I took a basket weaving class from my friend Sheila who has a booth at the Eugene Saturday Market (where we also sell our art.) This is the second class I’ve taken from her. The first class I took from her was last summer, where we learned to weave baskets out of ivy. This time we learned how to weave baskets out of rush. I made two ivy baskets last summer. So this basket is my third basket I’ve ever woven. It has a handle, so I hung it on the wall in the living room and filled it with lavender. Is it perfect? Not at all. But I love it because I made it with my own two hands…
And every time I look at it, I will remember that I was pregnant with our first child when I wove it. And that makes it even more precious to me.

Thanks Lara! 🙂
Your basket is beautiful and I know it’s going to be really special to this kiddo!
Thanks Nancy!
Yes, basket weaving is so fun! I love it! It feels really natural to do, my hands just do it without my brain knowing what’s going on.
Thank you!
Love, Taryn
You should be proud of yourself. Isn’t basket weaving fun?!!
I’ve never woven with rush before. Good job.
