At 3 months and 3 weeks, the baby is now about the size of an apple. In honor of this, I posted a picture I took a few years ago of an autumn apple on the tree out back.
Many people have been asking me how I’ve been feeling and the answer is great! Next week I will be 4 months pregnant and I haven’t had any morning sickness during this pregnancy, which I feel so grateful for.
My sleeping position has changed. I used to sleep on my stomach, but for a while now it’s been too uncomfortable to lay on my belly. Now I sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs or on my back (which is a position I’ve never been able to sleep in before.) And as I mentioned before, my bedtime is much earlier.
Everyone says that the second trimester is their favorite. It’s so exciting that I’m in my second trimester already. I love seeing and feeling the changes in my body. I’ve always marveled at the pregnant body, thinking it’s one of the most beautiful things. Now I am delighted to see my body becoming fuller and rounder, a new shape emerging. I’ve gained about 15 pounds already and I’m loving my body! I know my body is storing fat reserves that will be important while I’m nursing.
I’m enjoying every moment of this miraculous experience. I feel like this baby has already been teaching me so much, as I joked with a friend yesterday- “this baby is already wiser than it’s ole’ ma.”
We love this baby so much.

I’m glad to hear that Jessica! Many women I know who had morning sickness said it happened when they had gone too long without eating. I know low blood sugar can definitely make you feel nauseous. I guess we just have to eat all the time 🙂 hehe

I’m so glad to hear that you’ve had no morning sickness. I’m just about 8 weeks, and so far not too bad. A couple of queasy mornings, but nothing that crackers couldn’t fix. We’ll see…I’ve got weeks to go before I’m out of the woods. 🙂
