*Tip: Use your older eggs to hard boil because the fresher your eggs are, the harder it is to peel the shells off.
Last summer I went to the beach for the day and decided to bring some hardboiled eggs along because I hadn’t prepared anything else and I needed some nourishment. I intended to eat a few and ended up eating all of the hardboiled eggs that I brought with me. They were so delicious and nourishing that I decided to make them to bring on outings more often. I love hardboiled eggs and can just eat them plain as a snack.
They are also great for chopping up and putting on salads.
And, of course, for making deviled eggs- yum!
Egg salad sandwiches sound delicious! I just need to find or make some gluten free bread for us to use.
I’ve never made dutch babies, they sound yummy.
I agree about the cholesterol. If you are eating eggs from pastured hens, they are very very good for your health. 🙂
We love eggs in our household. My kids won’t eat the yolks of hardboiled eggs though. Maybe if I try the deviled eggs they’ll enjoy them more.
We eat eggs for breakfast a lot. And I love egg salad sandwiches! Messy but delicious!
I also make Dutch Babies – blended eggs with a little flour & vanilla, then baked in the oven. They turn out huge & fluffy & we eat them with maple syrup or a bit of powdered sugar on top.
My husband was worried about eating eggs because he has high cholesterol. But I read that it is only a problem with conventional eggs & that organic farm eggs won’t raise his cholesterol. That is great news because eggs are so versatile!
