Well, our first Saturday Market of the year was a sunny and beautiful day! Here is our booth, feeling happy just like us because of the sunshine. We traded with our friends at farmer’s market and brought home a big bag of fresh vegetables. We also had some trade left with our friends at the food court and enjoyed some of their yummy food, along with the basket of food I packed for us. We got to see lots of market friends and many people congratulated us on the baby, which was so sweet.
The other wonderful thing about this first market, was that we had a permanent booth for the first time. Which means no waiting in line for a spot and lots more time to set up our booth. Usually, we are rushed because we have a short amount of time to set up. This makes for a tense morning. But this weekend, we were much more relaxed (what a nice way to start the market day!) Also, people can find us easily now because we’ll always be in the same spot (that is until we get our dream spot someday…. but we appreciate this one until then.) Sales were okay, sort of slow. But with the sunshine, friends, and trades, it made for a great first day of market!
