A recent pregnancy craving I’ve had is avocados. I never had any interest in them before and now I can’t seem to get enough. Last night, I came across a delicious looking recipe for a salad dressing made with avocados.
So today I harvested lettuce, cilantro, and parsley from the garden (and Jeff threw in some mustard greens because he loves that spice.) Then I whipped up this incredible salad dressing to go on top and it was a hit. I have a feeling we will be making it around here a lot! Not only is it delicious, it is so incredibly easy to make.
Here’s the ingredients I used:
Avocados
Goat’s Milk Yogurt
Raw, Apple Cider Vinegar
Lemon Juice
Himalayan Crystal Salt
Cayenne Powder
I just mashed up the avocados with a fork and mixed everything else in. I tasted it as I went along to get the ratios of everything just right.
I found the inspiration for this recipe on a blog I discovered recently. It’s a blog about increasing your chances of conception through a healthy diet. I like it because the recipes are fantastic. Here is the link if you would like to see the original recipe:
It calls for using a food processor. I didn’t use one because I whipped it up just fine by hand.
I look forward to trying it with homemade goat’s milk kefir, fresh basil from the garden, and so much more. The possibilities are endless!
If you make this recipe and experiment with it, let me know what you come up with. I’d love to hear.
Happy Salad Eating for all you Avocado Lovers!

Sounds delicious! I have some avocados that need to be used. We’re having Chile Rellenos for dinner. This dressing sounds like the perfect cooling accompaniment for a salad to go with it. Thanks!
