Fun Saturday Market day!
Jeff’s mom visited us at market.
Saw lots of friends we love.
And a surprise gift happened this morning:
A woman was admiring our wood earrings and asked if I would like to do a trade for some body henna.
Do I ever?!
So I headed over to her booth later in the afternoon and she did a gorgeous job creating this henna design on my hand. I felt so special.
I was starring at my hand in delight all day and she went home with a gorgeous new pair of earrings. We were both beaming.
Also, she offered to do another trade in a few months when my belly is really big and she will do henna all over my belly. I’m so excited!
I got these pictures when I got home, some of the paste had started to fall off, so I wanted to capture it before it all did. Soon, the color underneath will deepen.
In the top picture, Sweetie is in the background and her tail is mid-wag. I like to think she was wagging her tail in admiration, the equivalent to clapping her hands over my beautiful henna hand.
Thank you! Henna is such a treat, I love it so much. Glad you’re going to get some henna this summer.
