Market was so fun yesterday.
Two weekends ago, I discovered that there had been fresh strawberries at the market and they had sold out before I found out about them, so I vowed to get strawberries the next week.
Last week, I saw the strawberries with my own eyes, but decided to buy them when I was finished setting up our booth with Jeff. When I returned, they were all sold out.
So this weekend I wasn’t going to make the same mistake. I was dreaming of fresh strawberries all week long (actually for longer) so yesterday I went and bought some before our booth was even set up.
And I was so happy about it. Jeff and I savored them all day and shared a few with friends.
Enjoying strawberries in May makes me want to applaud greenhouses.
Other marvelous things about market yesterday was the weather. It was picture perfect.
Our friend Lara and her daughter Rosemary, surprised us and came to visit.
Our friend Sheila surprised us with a cute little pair of shoes for the baby.
Our midwife Anita came and visited us and got to see our booth for the first time!
So many good things all day long.
And if you happen to be a ‘fan’ of Mystic Orb on facebook, you will notice the status I wrote last night:
“The market was SMOKIN’ today! (doing a happy dance)”
And Smokin’ it was!
Earrings and necklaces were flying off the rack, custom orders were stacking up…
We were on fire!
And I felt like taking up salsa dancing and running around exclaiming “Life is Good!”
It truly is.
