Today is Jeff and I’s two year wedding anniversary.
We’ve been together for over five years and they’ve been the best years of my life!
In some ways it feels like my life started when I met him and my life before then was a completely different lifetime altogether. I feel like he brought me back to myself.
Every night when I write my Gratitude List, Jeff is on it. I am so grateful to have him in my life and the joy I feel in this beautiful life with him, grows by the day.
This year we decided for our wedding anniversary that we wanted to buy a blueberry plant as our gift to each other. We’d mentioned the idea and then happened across an incredible sale at a nursery where we found a huge, 5 year old blueberry plant on sale for 50% off! (Hey I just noticed the coincidence- we’ve been together for a little over five years and the blueberry plant is five years old… cool!) We felt like we had just found treasure! So we bought our gift for each other early and were practically singing with excitement the whole way home. We planted it in the front yard, near the windchimes and the pond. I think of our anniversary now every time I see it and I like that it will be growing right along with us.
But this anniversary, the greatest gift of all is the baby growing in my belly.
We feel so blessed.
For Valentine’s Day this year I wrote the story of how we met and came together. You can read it here:
Also, Jeff surprised me with this blog post today. I feel so lucky to be married to him.
Happy Anniversary Jeff!
Cheers to this soulful life with you!
Thank you for bringing out my light and sharing your own.

Congratulations Taryn and Jeff! It’s such a lovely feeling finding the “missing link” to yourself. It’s just like you said, your life feels like it never started until you met that special person.
My hubby came all the way from Ireland to Australia and we met randomly in a bar and “clicked”. We’ve been together 10 yrs and married for 7.5yrs. And 2 gorgeous children later, we’ve never been happier.
I wish you all the best in your beautiful journey together and I hope you’ll keep telling your stories for years to come…..(because I absolutely love reading them!) xx

Thank you Jessica, Erin, Abby, and Luisa for your comments! They mean the world to me.
Jessica- I’ve never read ‘The Missing Piece’ by Shel Silverstein. You’ve inspired me to check it out. 🙂

Happy Anniversary to both of you! How wonderful that you have found each other…not everyone finds their perfect mate in life. I always think of the Shel Silverstein book “The Missing Piece” when I think of couples like myself and my husband, and you and yours. We were missing that one perfect piece! We are so blessed…
