Got an amazing deal on peaches from a local farm last week. Here is Jeff in Peach Heaven. Now the pantry is filled with peaches for the winter. Last year we dried some peaches and they were really good. This year we froze them. I just haven’t been in the canning mood lately so everything has been going in the freezer.
Hooray for filling up the pantry!
And for tasty, fresh peaches dripping juice down my chin!

dc- Thanks for the comment! I love hearing how others preserve their harvest, it’s so inspiring to me. Your peach butter sounds yummy!

Hooray, indeed! This time of year my husband eats tomato sandwiches and peaches every day!
I’m making peach butter today– I have two ~25 lb boxes of organic peaches!
I cook about 20 pounds of peaches with 2 cups of sugar and some lemon juice until it thickens, pour it into sterile jars and hot water bath them for 10 minutes. We eat this mixed with yogurt, on pancakes and toast all winter long and give as Christmas gifts too. I’ll need to make several batches!
