This sign is now the first thing you see at the bottom of our driveway.
I wrote the lettering and Jeff carved it in a local piece of Myrtle wood. It makes me happy every time we return home and see it welcoming us.
And it makes the goats happy too.
(I love the picture below because there’s an orb right over the sign.)

I completely understand about wanting to limit your time on the internet. I need to post new items on etsy and that brings me to the computer more than anything else. I balance the computer time with nature time and limit it as much as I can.

I’m not on Facebook. I have resisted, which most of my friends and family have teased me about a fair amount! I guess I feel like I spend so much time online as it is that it is hard to want to delve in deeper. If you ever want to get in touch about anything directly though, my email is [email protected]

Abby- So funny you mentioned meeting there because I had the same thought! 🙂 That would be so fun.
I was wondering if you are on facebook? That would be another great avenue for us to communicate.

It has new owners since I was last there (maybe 9 years ago?). Back then I had learned that the previous owners used to spray the grounds, or I would have been there a lot. It was exciting to learn that’s not the case now. If you guys do check it out, we live close by and it would be fun to meet you.
Also, I will definitely let you know how our propagation goes! I am hoping we come out with a few (even just one??), but we’ll see.
Thanks Taryn xo

Lara- Glad you like it! 🙂 Look forward to you seeing it in person too!
Abby- Thanks for the blueberry farm information. I am so passionate about local farms and love discovering new ones. I’ve never been to the Clear Lake Blueberry Farm, but Jeff said he picked there a long time ago. I would love to check it out.

Cute! What a fun welcome, and way to ask that the gate stay closed. You asked about blueberries the other day… the farm we went to was on Clear Lake Rd, on the south end of Florence. It’s called Clear Lake Blueberry Farm. They figured they have another couple of weeks of picking still. $2 a pint for u-pick and according to the owner himself, they don’t spray the plants or grounds.

This sign ROCKS! It conjures images of your merry band of goats frolicking around the hillsides and munching on weeds. I can’t wait to see it next time!
