Well, it’s that time of year again.
The time of year when Jeff is a little less outnumbered around here with females. (Me, the dogs, the cats, the goats, the chickens… yes all females!) In the Fall, when the buck visits for a few weeks to get our does pregnant, Jeff has another “guy” here for a short while.
Sunny Boy came to visit last year also. This year his bangs and beard are longer, he is much bigger, and I must say- he’s gotten more handsome.
The girls are all responding to him and the goat yard is very entertaining. With 5 months gestation, we should be getting March babies.
Sunny Boy is pure Toggenburg. Our girls are mixes of Oberhasli, Nigerian Dwarf and Nubian. Their combo with Toggenburg makes for some incredibly cute kids! We are planning on keeping a doeling from the next kidding, so I’m really looking forward to the spring babies.
Here’s the blog post I wrote about his visit last year:
When he gets the “crazy eye” he means business!

Kim- aww! I love thinking of Tatum seeing pictures of the goats for her bedtime story, that is so sweet. 🙂 What a beautiful image that creates.
I’m so glad you enjoy my blog, I have so much fun sharing. And thank you for your sweet words.
Love, Taryn

I just read your blog to Tatum as a bed time story. She loved the pictures of Sonny Boy. We both agree that he is very handsome. Tatum also said “night, night” to Sonny Boy as she just went to bed. Thanks so much for your beautiful posts/blog. What a wonderful life your child will be born into….Blessings and love.
