A batch of sauerkraut is fermenting in the crock in the kitchen. We go through a lot of sauerkraut around here. The 10 gallons Jeff made (he got a 10 gallon crock just for this purpose) didn’t last as long as we thought it would. So we shredded up some more cabbage and pounded away (Thanks Mom for all your help pounding sauerkraut last weekend. You never know what kind of things you’ll be doing when you visit, huh?)
