hi taryn, yes, i’ll definitely come and see you at the market once it starts up again!
and yes, i had to laugh because she knows everybody around here – cheryl has become a good friend – we bought two of our first three does from her, and also receive “stud service” from her boys (the other of our first three – a partially blind boer mix – was adopted from deck family farm!)
so it seems as if we have people in common, as well as location and lifestyle 🙂
thanks for checking out our blog – i’ll add you to the blogroll soon, when we do our planned updates (and soon we’ll be writing again, too!)
and i’ll definitely keep stopping by here to enjoy your writing and photos
Teri- Hello neighbor! How fun to meet a neighbor! I wonder if I have driven by your cottage? I’m not sure. Thanks for the blog link. I became a follower! And guess what? I have a feeling you got some of your goats from a woman we know. Do you know Cheryl? One of our goats came from her ancestry. I would love for you to include me in your blogroll- thanks! And I am delighted that you’ve been enjoying my blog so much. That means the world to me. I’m pleased to meet your virtual aquaintance as well. Thanks so much for introducing yourself and saying hello. Come visit us at Saturday Market in Eugene when it starts in April if you get the chance.
thank you, I hope, more and more folks will see, respect and love all life (and not money and power) and the nuclear power stations on our earth will disappear soon.
taryn, hi! i found your blog through farmama, and have been reading voraciously for the past few days (in fact, my partner says i’m bordering on stalking…)
i’m captivated by your open and honest writing – even more so because we’re sort of neighbors!
my partner, peter, and i live on hwy 36, just off of poodle creek rd – you may have driven by our little cottage before
we moved to oregon 4 years ago, and jumped into this homesteading lifestyle (with goats and chickens and large garden)
here is our blog, if you’d like to check it out (just to prove we’re not actually creepy stalker people, hee hee):

Teri-
We look forward to meeting you in person.
We got stud service from Cheryl one year. I love her goats. Jeff has always wanted one of her blue eyed ones.
We love Deck Family Farm too!
Thanks for reading.
Love, Taryn
