Celtic Stirring Paddle
–
A kitchen treasure!
Do you spend a lot of time in the kitchen? Are you a lover of all things culinary- colorful, delicious, and savory? These stirring paddles are one of our new items in our shop and are a must-have in the kitchen. They add so much enjoyment to food preparation. Jeff started making them because we use them so much in our own kitchen. I use them for stirring soups. Jeff has used them for mixing dough for his homemade sourdough bread. A friend has even flipped pancakes with them!
Jeff and I have been talking about having less “stuff”, but fewer items of high quality, especially in the kitchen! These stirring paddles are made to last. He creates them to be a family heirloom that can be passed down.
Hand-carved in local, reclaimed Oregon myrtle wood. I love the carved, interwoven celtic knot at the top. Myrtle wood is a rare wood that only grows in southern Oregon and northern California. According to folklore, it is said to bring prosperity. This wood is gorgeous!! Look at the swirls in the grain, it’s enough to make wood lovers swoon! Nice and sturdy and feels great in your hand. Sanded so smooth and finished with natural walnut oil. It measures a tad under 12 and 3/4″ long.
–
Tree Pendant
–
For all you tree and nature lovers out there, Jeff creates these hand-carved Tree Pendants from the inspiration of the forest around us. There is something about trees that has always captivated people. I know it’s that way for Jeff and I. Being around them is soothing to the soul and Jeff creates a lot of artwork with hand-carved trees on them. Trees remind us of our inner wisdom. And also to be grounded, rooted, and present.
Hand-carved in local, reclaimed spalted birdseye maple burl wood. The polished wood feels so good against the skin and soaks up your oils over time- changing the color of the wood. Comes on a cotton cord with a slide knot on the end so that you can adjust the length. With the local, reclaimed wood- you can enjoy wearing earthy style with a conscience.
Measures 1 and 1/2″ tall.
–
Tribal Earrings
–
So unique and truly stunning on! I love the shape and the design he carved in them. The carving looks tribal to us, but blends beautifully with lots of different styles.
These earrings are hand-carved in reclaimed mountain mahogany wood, which is a desert wood with a vibrance of colors. The colors can vary from warm reds to deep browns to light beige. Some very dense, gorgeous wood we are blessed to be able to work with. Even though the wood is very dense, these earrings are surprisingly lightweight.
Measures 2 and 1/4″ long. They come on silver plated ear wires.
