Every year, Jeff’s birthday comes and I think- what, oh what can I do to make it really special? I wonder how I can even begin to express the depth of love, appreciation and delight that I feel having him in my life? Well, you gotta start somewhere, so I’ll start here.
To Jeff:

now the Father of our child

It’s funny how well we know each other and yet I am constantly surprised by you. I love learning new things about you all the time. I love when we take those breaks during our very full life, lay in bed looking into each other’s eyes and talking about our dreams as the world quiets down for the night. And I really love creating them together. I love knowing that I can trust someone completely. I love that you are always there for me. I love the way you dive into life and aren’t afraid to try new things. I love how inspired and creative you are. I love that I can miss you even when you are in the next room because I enjoy being around you so much. I love that we can make a living from home so we can be together more often and I don’t have to spend all my time missing you.
Each day my love for you deepens. And since Bracken’s birth, my adoration and appreciation for you has grown beyond what I ever knew it could. Seeing you and Bracken together brings me fully into the present moment and fills me with awe. I just stop and watch. The feeling is indescribable. It’s so heart-filling. The two of you laughing together with shining eyes is the sweetest thing. It reminds me what’s really important in life.
