Look at the collards and kale! It seems I turn my back and they grow another few inches. We’ve had some sunny days this week that have been making the garden very happy. All the starts in the ground have been thriving, sinking their roots in and soaking up all the sun. I thinned the lettuce starts in the greenhouse today and delighted over all the other seeds coming up. Some trays are still dirt and we go and look at them each day to see if they are sprouting up yet. And some seeds we have yet to plant, once the weather gets a little warmer.
What’s growing in your world?

Katharine- I can’t take credit. 🙂 Jeff does most of the work in the garden these days and he is the epitome of a green thumb. I’m still learning when it comes to gardening. I think time and learning will turn that thumb of yours green! 🙂
Trish- Thanks! We built our raised beds by hand with bricks we got for an incredible deal.
Hooray for broadbeans and peas! Hope you get some rain! 🙂
Sarah- It’s so fun for me to hear what’s happening in people’s gardens in other parts. I’ve seen ripe tomatoes and blackberries on blogs from Florida and southern California. Enjoy your strawberries! I can’t wait to get some at the farmer’s market tomorrow.
Rachel- I am looking forward to seeing pictures of all the things popping up in your garden, on your blog! 🙂
Lara- Your spring garden is so gorgeous and it inspires me very much! I have sooo much weeding to do… your garden reminds me of that! 🙂

I love seeing how your garden grows! Such gorgeous greens! I remember last year when you posted pictures of your Spring garden, and I wasn’t quite set up yet, and I was so inspired! Now I’ve got a Spring garden too!

This is inspiring! I’d say so far we’re growing hope that something is going to come up in our garden!

Where I live, we are passed the time for lettuce and other cool season crops. We’re still swimming in strawberries from the garden right now (woohoo!). The summer garden is coming along: tomatoes are growing (no fruit yet), lots of squash and cucmbers are just getting going. Glad to see your garden is doing well!
