Yesterday and today have been gorgeous, sunny, warm, breezy…. picture perfect weather.
~
Here’s what I’m loving about it:
-Watching Bracken roll around and play in the grass for the first time.
……..And of course trying to eat it too.
(If you needed a laugh today, this picture outta do the trick!)
-Letting the ducks out in their yard and watching them forage for food and lay in the sunny spots.
They are pretty shy. We sit quietly with them to get them more tame.
-Soaking some local hazelnuts in saltwater overnight and then drying them in the sun.
(The creative solution when your food dehydrator and oven are both broken at the same time.)
-Dogs doing nice long stretches…. mmm that feels good!
-Hanging laundry to dry in the sunshine, for the first time this year! Woo hoo!
-Cats watching all the activity from high places.
-Jeff building us a new compost bin with pallets.
(Picture in the beginning stage of creation.)
-The apple tree just starting to bloom.
-Webs of light.
-Jeff setting up an outdoor garden sink so we can wash our summer veggies off before we come in the house.
(He scored this cast iron sink for $10 at a garage sale awhile back. It didn’t get washed for the picture… maybe next time.)
I’ve been loving:
-The warm feeling of sun on my cheeks at the end of the day.
-Practically living outdoors.
-Making a pot of soup for lunch the night before so I can be in the garden all day and not have to cook.
-Eating outside.
-Jeff getting the compost turned (all the good stuff from cleaning out the chicken coop) that will be the perfect thing for planting the blueberries in the ground.
-Learning about companion planting and caring for fruit trees, blueberries and grapes.
-Getting more organized all the time- in the house and out.
-The way being organized makes everything so much easier.
-Exercise and how good it makes my body feel.
-Being flexible and going with the flow.
-Feeding the goats fruit tree trimmings from over the fence while they graze around the woods.
-Filling the crock up with a new batch of sauerkraut.
-Cleaning up the garden.
-Feeling inspired and getting so much done.
-Seeing progress.
-Being home.

What are you loving?

I LOVE hearing from all of you! And I love reading about what you are loving. 🙂
Trish- Sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well. I’m proud of you for resting. Being sick reminds us to give our bodies a break, huh?
I didn’t know that you are a nurse. I can feel through your words (your continual sweet comments) that you would be very good at nurturing others and helping them heal.
Glad your husband is taking care of you. Love hearing about all the things you’re loving.
Jackee- Your beautiful words transported me into a magical world. Thank you!
Aja- Thanks!
And I am so delighted that you like the buttons! I would love to see some pictures of the sweater! 🙂
Brooklyn- Thanks! We use pallets for lots of things. I was going to write a post about it soon. 🙂 My heart is happy that you like my blog.
Christin- Thank you! I thought Jeff’s idea to set up a garden sink was a great idea too.
What a fun sounding book! Let me know if you discover some extra yummy recipes! 🙂
Big hugs to you all for brightening my day with your comments!

Isn’t it funny how being organized AND going with the flow make for sweeter times? Oh! And you know what I am loving? The FABULOUS wood buttons that I bought from your shop – they arrived yesterday! I love anything Hobbit-like and those buttons are magical. Now I just need to get the sweater finished 🙂

Loving your new posts! Also loving bright light shining on me at 6 am. The sound the mourning doves make as they and the other birds sing the sun awake (my own personal theory). My two beautiful children standing by the door waiting impatiently to spend the whole day outside digging in dirt and running through grass.

Gorgeous photos and the outdoor sink project, love it!
I have had a cough for 4 weeks, the doctor thinks it may be a virus, but told me to take antibiotics anyway and rest! I am enjoying being at home (I normally work as a nurse) being looked after by my gorgeous househusband husband. Love him.
I love sitting in my garden and noticing the swifts arrive for summer.
I love watching my children slowly becoming little women,so scary but wonderful.
Love your blog.
