Blessings this past week:
–Sunshine! Being in the sunshine. Soaking up the sunshine. Feeling the warmth on my skin lingering afterwards. (I bet some of you other Pacific Northwesterners can relate to this sun rejoicing, am I right?) A few sunny days were heaven to me, my Spirit needed it! Worship would be a word to describe how I feel about the sun right now.
-My sister getting a job offer from the place she’s been interning. It’s a company that she loves and I’m really happy for her.
-Having such an incredibly productive week. Boy, does that feel good!
-I’ve felt grateful for each and every sale on Etsy, that supports our family.
-Eating Wild Alaskan Salmon, caught by our neighbor. I felt grateful for every single bite. It’s a power food for my body. I love it so much!
-Connecting with a neighbor who has a baby right around Bracken’s age. Love meeting new neighbors out here!
–Geraniums blooming in the greenhouse. Jeff has had this geranium plant since before I ever moved in. He’s taken such good care of it and it’s such a beautiful sight to see in the greenhouse.
–Actually seeing the swallows go inside the birdhouse. We’ve seen them flying around it, but seeing them go inside made us really excited because now we know for sure that they are living there. Hooray!
-Getting the pantry a little more organized in preparation for the season. It’s looking bare and I’m ready to start filling it back up again! I’m grateful for the frozen grapes we still have from last fall, we love to eat them before bedtime and savor the sweetness.
-Remembering to be more conscious of my breath and breathing deeply. Aaaahhhh, that’s refreshing!
-Getting our land tax (one of three per year) paid. Hallelujah!
-My computer surprising me (again!) and continuing to work, after having issues where I really wondered if it’s life was finally over. Alas, there is life in it still! The energizer bunny would be proud.
–Noticing little things of beauty, like the runner beans we planted. The colors and spots are so pretty. Jeff wanted to make beads out of them!

Taryn, your gratitude list makes me smile and realize that yes indeed, seeing the sun in Oregon is like a visit from heaven! We got a glimpse here in the Columbia River Gorge today, and it helped the mood so much! I love looking at things through your eyes, it helps me take the focus off the things that pull me down, and lift my eyes up to see the things that are so bountiful and plentiful, right before me. Thank you for a much needed attitude adjustment! p.s. very glad about your breaks miracle…that is wonderful!
