Truck is loaded up. We’ve been finishing up all the last minute touches. We’ve got lots of new buttons and earrings in reclaimed wood.
We have such a wide variety of buttons to bring to market tomorrow. Yellow Buttons (Dogwood, naturally that color), Yellow Buttons with spirals carved (pictured above, they are so fun!), Yew Wood Buttons (rare wood from our front yard), Birdseye Maple Burl Buttons (with a beautifully rounded shape), Tiny Sassafras Buttons (in smaller sets due to requests)……. can you tell I’m really excited about the buttons? (They are really making me want to learn how to knit sweaters!) I’ve been busy putting the buttons on cards to display in our booth (and having a button photo shoot by the front pond so I can put them on our Etsy Shop soon.)
To accommodate all the new earrings, I made lots (and lots) of these earring holders.
First I take a business card and fold it in half. (Okay, wait… first step is Jeff drilling two tiny holes in the giant stack of cards.. then I fold them.) Then I stamp them with Jeff’s homemade stamp.
This is the cool stamp he carved for us. I love the mandala design. I love how each card I stamp looks unique and different.
There are so many behind-the-scenes things we do to get ready for market (and Etsy for that matter.) It’s fun to share more of the process with all of you. So, here’s one of those processes- making earring holders. It may not seem all that time consuming, but amidst holding a sweet baby, it can take rather long (especially when he wants to grab everything you’re holding… and eat it of course!) Now I need to get some pictures at market tomorrow of the earrings on the cards so you can see what they look like.

I LOVE those buttons! I’ve been playing around with the idea of button-making for my knitting projects. We have such a humongous wood pile out back and haven’t found a good way to use it all up, yet, and this might be just the thing.
Also love that stamp and your earring cards. You’ll have to post a photo of how the earrings look all set up in your market booth!
Have a fabulous market day!

You are so clever. Jeff could make and sell stamps as well, as that mandala stamp is beautiful!
I love the dogwood buttons, they remind me of little snails!
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Much love.
