Bright yellow sunflowers at farmer’s market. A sight I truly love.

Blessings throughout the week:
-Becoming more skillful in the kitchen with every meal I make. It gives me such a good feeling to lovingly prepare nourishing food for our family. I love feeding people!
–
-Breakfasts enjoyed outside, in the morning sun. Meals eaten outdoors are the best!
-Seeing the garden grow so fast with all the warmth and sunshine. (We are still eating zucchini from farmer’s market until ours are ready. Soon we will have more than we know what to do with and the idea that we ever got any from farmer’s market will seem crazy.)
-Seeing bright colors in the garden. (Can you tell this is one of my favorite colors?)
–
-Watering the garden and having it thank me with gifts of sweet strawberries. mmm!
–
-Watching Jeff and Bracken asleep, all snuggled up together.
–
-Teamwork. I realize how teamwork makes our days flow so much more smoothly and when we work together our huge to-do list becomes do-able!
–
-Jeff finding the most amazing owl feather he’s ever seen, lying on the ground.
-I’m grateful for this picture Jeff took of Bracken and I. It’s one of my favorites. And I just noticed we sort of form the shape of a heart.
–
-The feeling of being barefoot.
–
-The feeling of fresh cleaned sheets, dried by the summer sun. (And getting lots of laundry dried!)
–
-Eating our own homegrown duck for the first time. It was delicious and we felt so grateful.
–
-Bracken falling asleep early one night and having a relaxing bath all to myself. These have been rare and I treasure them.
–
-Relaxing nightly rituals (when Bracken actually falls asleep early.) Writing my 10 things in my gratitude journal and reading, followed by an early bedtime. My favorite way to fall asleep!
–
-Bracken’s first time blueberry picking.
–
-Having a husband who is a really good cook and makes the most incredible meals.
–
-Cleaning. Love the feeling of a clean house!
–
-Planning meals ahead so I actually take things out to thaw, and how much easier mealtimes are when we plan.
-Buying a gift for myself at farmer’s market. I’ve been wanting a lavender wreath for years and saw one there for $5.75! She wanted to sell her older wreaths so she put them all on sale. I was so excited!
-The smell of lavender. It immediately transports me to serenity.
–
-I’m grateful for the customers who support our art so we can do what we love.
-Seeing woven baskets filled with fresh foods at farmer’s market.
-Farmer’s market love!
-Getting through the day at market yesterday. This might sound like a funny thing to be grateful for, but it was a challenge. We were tired (from less sleep due to an obnoxious, loud neighbor.) Jeff hardly slept at all. See how tired his eyes are in the picture? Then the weather was hot (which I’m grateful for because it makes the garden grow and the berries ripen, but when I am in really hot weather I tend to get crabby.) I got crabby. Bracken would only nurse while he was in the Ergo, but then he got hot and he was crabby too. Jeff literally fell asleep in our booth, while sitting up in his chair. It was a long day and we were so happy to come back home and fall asleep!
What blessings have you appreciated throughout your week?

That wreath is beautiful! I was just cutting our lavender to dry today to make a wreath with, but I think I cut it too late, all the bright purple flowers fell off and it already looks rather dull. No matter, it will still smell good!
Hot weather makes me crabby too. Really crabby. So I guess I can say I’m grateful we moved to a house with a constant afternoon breeze and screen doors to cool the house off!

Hi Taryn!
What a glorious sunflower photo! And so special, the photo of you and Bracken forming a heart. I love it.
“Zucchini Flower” is one of my favorite colors too! That, and green. 🙂
So glad you got to enjoy an alone-time bath this week; we all need alone time to rejuvenate don’t we!
I love being barefoot too!!!
Just loved your list, as always. 🙂

Oh Taryn, your blessings are beautiful.I love to see sunflowers, they are so beautiful.
I love your photos, they are stunning.
The lavender wreath looks amazing, I have never seen one!
Sorry to hear about the noisy neighbor, nothing is as important as a good nights sleep! I can just picture poor Jeff falling asleep in your booth.
Much love to you all.xxx
