When you bring your fresh-picked blueberries home, let them sit out at room temperature overnight, before putting them in the fridge, freezer etc. They’ll ripen more and taste even better (if you can imagine that.)
We just went picking ourselves and put them straight into the fridge, thinking that was the right thing to do. At least we’ll know what to do next year!
I hope I can remember this next year. We are all done with blueberries here. We are so far ahead of y’all. I put 2 1/2 gallons in the freezer and made some cobblers and jam too. Love the blueberries!
