I’ve been telling you about our excitement creating new things for our booth lately and I wanted to share some of those creations with you.
Above are our new carved wood magnets from our market booth yesterday. (We have more in another spot in the booth too.) We currently have them displayed on an old pizza pan from a thrift store, which is working great, but at the rate Jeff is making them, we need a lot more display area. So we are on the lookout for a large display piece.
We are calling them ‘Heart-full Magnetic Reminders.’
I do the handwriting on some of them and for others we use font, so we can give a variety of options. Then Jeff carves each one. We love having positive affirmations around. They are good reminders!
We are also offering custom made magnets! I made a listing on our Etsy Shop called Create Your Own Magnet. We can carve names, dates, and favorite phrases. They make great gifts for special occasions or just because. (Oh yeah, we are also offering custom inscriptions carved on the back of our wood pendants. I forgot if I’ve mentioned that on here or not?)
Jeff has been creating more art for the home. Yesterday we had some carved light switch plates available in our booth for the first time, which we were excited about. I love them!
I created a section on our Etsy Shop called Woodland Home, and that’s where I’m putting our magnets, spoons, kitchen stirring paddles (and soon I’ll post the light switch plate covers on there too.) The spoons and stirring paddles have been so popular that we only had two spoons and one paddle in our booth yesterday. Jeff has some really cool ones he started in his workshop, with carved, swirly handles and big bowls. I’ve been watching their progress and will be excited to share them with you.
We are also adding more signs in our booth. I love this sweet little sign in a piece of local, reclaimed birdseye maple burl wood. I did the writing and Jeff carved it.
I’ve been asked about the holder for our business cards. This is the very first basket I ever made! It’s woven with english ivy. I filled the basket with moss from the woods outside our front door (and stuck a little pinecone in there too) and now it displays our business cards. So the next time you visit our booth, you’ll know the story behind it.
What have you been excited about creating lately?

Taryn,
You have the most amazing handwriting!! I’m loving the new magnets and the switch covers….with our new home going up I may be in need of both!
