Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-A neighbor we’ve known for a long time, opening up to us. We realized we had much more in common than we ever knew. And it was fun to get to know and appreciate his spirit a little more.
-The sound of birds singing in the forest. It makes me stop. And listen.
-Giving Bracken’s hair a trim. Even though I uttered the words “oops” quite a few times throughout the process, it ended up being so darn cute I could hardly stop staring at him with a huge smile on my face.
-Selling magnets on Etsy! The first magnets we sold on there. It’s always exciting to sell a new item on our Etsy Shop for the first time.
-Savoring the sun, the garden, harvesting, and this season. All of it.
-Jeff creating the most beautiful display in our booth for our magnets. I helped him throughout the whole process. He had an inspired vision and I loved to watch it come to life. He transformed an old piece of metal (that most would have considered junk) into a work of art!
-Making changes in our market booth that will make it all flow so much easier.
-Exploring a new u-pick blueberry farm for the first time. It’s always fun to discover new farms that are close by.
-Spending time with our friend Abby, picking berries, getting to know her better, and having wonderful conversation. It was just what my spirit needed that day.
-Our living room looking like an enchanted apothecary with all the bunches of garden herbs hanging and drying everywhere.
-A really soul-satisfying, heart-humming conversation with Jeff. I love those!
-How nurtured I feel after an epsom salt bath, followed by cozy pajamas and crawling into our bed with fresh clean sheets just dried by the sun.
-Our neighbor inviting us to harvest elderberries, nettles and more at their farm. We’ve been searching for an elderberry harvesting spot for a long time now. We are really excited about that.
-Following my vibes, even when it seemed inconvenient at the time, and then having it turn into a wonderful blessing later.
-Dreaming of my Grandpa Jensen all week and being filled with warm, comforting memories of all the time I got to spend with him. Makes me tear up just thinking about it.
-The first fire in the woodstove to take the chill off the house one morning. Makes the house so very cozy.
-Beautiful sunflowers blooming all over the garden, giving bursts of bright yellow. They’ve been covered in bees and it makes us really happy to see lots of bees in the garden.
-Feeling a little stressed about finances, then having money start flowing in and feeling much more relaxed and so very grateful.
-Bracken reaching over and sharing his sippy cup with me. Now he does it all the time, it’s the sweetest thing.
-Hearing Jeff sing and play guitar. It blesses our home, our garden, and it makes my heart so happy.
-The start of September. My very favorite month! And also happens to be my birthday month.
-Simple things… like being captivated by wild, dancing shadows from a windy tree with afternoon light shining through the branches.
-Buying a good pair of sharp scissors that actually cut things!
-For tension that melts into sweetness. For an unhappy, fussy baby during a long car ride transforming into a giggling cherub (with the help of a very goofy dad.) For a grouchy husband and wife bantering about silly things like green beans and parking spots, being able to laugh about it together and having it turn into good communication, deeper love, understanding and appreciation.
What have you felt grateful for throughout your week?
Are you noticing the many blessings in your life?
A list of love! What a joy to count our blessings. You are on my list 🙂
such a wonderful list Taryn.
Much love
Some of these made me laugh out loud! It is fun (and so important!) to be able to stop and laugh at ourselves, when needed. Grateful for a lot this week, but a few things –
I also felt grateful to spend time together, picking, talking, sharing. It was such a lift in the week.
And that hot day we just had… in spite of all the work I had to do, I let it go for a while and just knew we needed to embrace that amazing day, to swim and feel the warm air on our skin. It is still carrying me through the week.
You are an angel.
I love September too! My birth month also! I love when you refer to, “you know cause I’m a Virgo…” I totally get that reference too! Peace mama, glad for your gratefulness!
Such a beautiful list Taryn, really pure x
What a magical week!!! And a magical list! I could comment on every single thing… but instead I’ll just say that I LOVED reading it. 🙂 As always. Happy September! This is my favorite time of the year too.
