Jeff is outside working hard on his outdoor workshop I mentioned in the previous post. Bracken is asleep next to me, giving me a moment to write this. There have been a lot of changes on Etsy recently (where we have our online shop.) We used to renew items to stay at the top of the searches, so people could find us. Now they are based on “relevancy” instead. Basically, big changes, and we have a lot of learning to do. We’re changing our titles to include keywords so people can find us more easily. We prefer the way we did titles before, but need to adapt to help people find our shop more easily.
I’m curious to hear from other Etsy sellers. What are you doing to adapt to these changes?

Genevieve- Thanks for your comment. I think putting out good positive energy makes a world of difference! ๐ And thank you!
Barefoot Mama- Thank you!
Lindsey- Always brightens my day when you say hello! ๐ We saw our buttons on SouleMama and it made us sooo happy! I just loaded up a bunch more buttons on our shop today. Yes, Jeff has more spoons in the works. Sometimes the best way to get something you want is to place a custom order. That way we’ll get it done soon. ๐ Let us know what you have in mind if you’d like to. Jeff is focusing on custom orders right now. If we added yours to the mix, we could get it done during our free shipping deal. ๐
Love, Taryn

Hi Taryn,
Just wanted to say “hello” today and say that I saw your buttons featured on Soulemama yesterday. So nice! I hope it brings you guys some business.
A question, are there any more small wooden spoons, like the one in your shop, coming down the pike in the near future? ๐
Love
Lindsey

I have changed my titles to include keywords as well & I am trying to add some variation to my descriptions. That & putting as much positive, good energy out there that I can ๐ I wish you both all the best.

Thank you Abby! I need to talk to you more about Etsy. I feel I could learn a lot from you!

I have tried (though not super thoroughly) to make sure that my titles have at least some description of what the item is, pretending I am a shopper… for example something like “Tree of Life Necklace – a hand carved wood amulet” might be enough if you like to keep it more simple, yet still descriptive. It helped me to imagine doing a search, and what words I might choose to start to find what I am looking for.
