Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Spiderwebs in the sunlight. So beautiful.
.
-My Grandma selling her house!! (I wrote about it in Remembering. All the birds in her new neighborhood are going to be rejoicing to have her move in, as she feeds them so well!) She’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving in her new home and I’m so happy for her.
.
-Bracken looking me intently in the eyes and saying “Mama” clear as a bell. It brought tears to my eyes and I immediately placed my hand over my heart. He’s said it before, but never that clearly and intentionally. It was a gift.
.
-Building new displays in our booth and having so many synchronicities happen while we were, really feeling like we were on the flow. (Like having the exact amount of bolts, just the right size.)

.
-Our truck breaking down before Holiday Market (when we drive long distances after dark and rely on a running vehicle to make our living) so we can get it fixed and running well prior to the show.
.
-Talking to my sister on the phone. We need to do that more often.
.
-Some days where Bracken was in such a good mood and so happy. His laughter was contagious and we were amazed at all the different sounding laughs he has now.
.
-Feeling so glad we set up our booth in the living room early so we have weeks to let our display unfold and all come together (instead of the last minute scramble we’ve done in the past.)
.
-Two mornings where we walked down the hill to the mailbox. We rarely do that, since we usually just drive by it on the way to town. It was invigorating and the three of us loved moving our bodies and breathing in the fresh air.
.
-Having some really fun ideas for homemade holiday gifts. I love making gifts.
.
-A lucid dream where I was giving Jeff a tour of my Grandma’s house (the one she just sold) and showing him everything that was important to me, telling him stories. It was a beautiful dream.
.
-Hoping that the sun would poke through just a little so I could take pictures of new things for our Etsy Shop. There were many days where a little window of opportunity- sunshine- came and I got some beautiful pictures of new creations. And the timing was great, right when I like to take pictures (before Bracken’s nap time.) I felt so grateful for that. (Since taking pictures of our art in the rain is a challenge and the pictures I’ve taken in the greenhouse don’t turn out quite as well.)
.
-Making up silly lyrics to songs with Jeff, when we didn’t know what the words were. That was so fun and brought lots of laughter.
.
-Bracken giving me kisses for the first time!! I melted each time.
.
-Getting a MaryJanesFarm magazine in the mail (thanks to Jeff’s Aunt Isla for the subscription.) I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but I know when I do it will be a delightful treat. I got so excited when I saw it.
.
-Grouchiness being an indicator that I need to nurture my Spirit. I know grouchiness can be a good teacher. Earlier in the week I felt grouchy and wondered why. When I tuned in, I was able to give myself what I needed (some regeneration time) and get back in balance. When I’m loving towards my Spirit, I feel so much more lighthearted!
.
-The nights Bracken went to bed easily and early, so I could have a little quiet time. We had some nights that took quite a while to get little man to bed (I reminded myself that patience is a virtue), so I was grateful for the easier nights.
.
-Bracken standing up, all on his own, without holding onto anything, for the first time!
.
-Being okay with the mistake in my knitting. In a millisecond Bracken got into my knitting, which made for a lot of dropped stitches. My knitting skills are very basic and I thought I might have to pull out the whole thing and start over. But I managed to keep going and cover it up pretty well.
.
-Being reminded of how much I love sprouts and getting some started again in the kitchen.
.
-Jeff making the most incredible nettle and butternut squash soup. Mmmm!
.
-Finding a wonderful, loving home for our dog Sweetie, with Jeff’s daughter, Bree, and her husband Abe. We are really grateful for that. (Now we need to find a good home for our dog Satcha.)
.
-Remembering to count my blessings and be grateful!
.
-Talking to my sister on the phone. We need to do that more often.

What’s on your gratitude list from your week?
Would love to hear!

I love how everyone’s lists remind me of things I too can be grateful for – gratitude is contagious 🙂 So glad for your beautiful moments last week and thank you for the reminder that I need to get a batch of sprouts going, I too love them so much! xxoo

Look at those spider webs, WOW! What works of art.
I LOVE your list. I always love them, but this one was really neat. I loved hearing about the synchronicities that happened when you were doing your booth! I loved hearing about Bracken and his good mood, laughter, and new accomplishments!
And how you guys took a family walk to your mailbox!
And tuning into your spirit when you feel grouchy, and honoring its needs. I agree, it feels so good to do that. I’ve been learning that recently, too. I have to listen to my spirit, I have to be good to myself…I can’t ignore that part of me.
I’m happy to hear you were able to have some regeneration time. You amaze me with everything you do, no wonder you needed time to regenerate.
Feeling lighthearted is the BEST feeling ever!
I felt lots of that this week, and it was so wonderful!
Such a beautiful list.
From a beautiful person! I’m so privileged to know you.
SO much love to you!!
Lindsey
