It’s dark outside. Bracken is nursing, asleep in my arm. Jeff is snoozing in the other room (he’s been having late nights, filled with inspiration in the shop.) The house is so quiet.
I’m breathing.
I’m relishing.
These quiet moments to myself seem so rare sometimes.
.
Last night I put buttons on cards after Bracken fell asleep. This morning I hoped for a little sunshine to take pictures of new buttons. Some sunshine poked out for a brief visit and I seized the opportunity. In between shots, my camera got distracted by… fall leaves, raindrops on fuscias, puddles on logs. We’ve been blessed with rain lately which makes for such illuminated beauty when the sun shines on the rain covered world.
While posting new buttons on our shop, I saw these pictures interspersed throughout.
They made me slow down. They brought me into the moment.
Noticing does that.
.
This time of year is so busy for us.
Even the little moments of slowing down are appreciated.
Oh!
My boys are both awake…
The noise of family life fills our home…
I like that too.
Your photos are always so beautiful—thank you for sharing them with us, Taryn. Blessings and warm thoughts for a lovely weekend!
wonderful….xxx
such a lovely post xx
Very nice. I too love my quite times. I get a lot more of it now that my son and family has moved out but I miss the grandson terribly.
LOVE those little lines of spider web!!! Gorgeous!
What a sweet post. I love those quiet moments too, when I’m the only one awake in the house 🙂
Beautiful photos!
I’m glad you got that moment of solitude.
Love,
Lindsey
