(Mini fit on the tiny label better than “travel size.”)

Recently I got a strong inspiration to start offering our herbal salves in travel sizes. I mentioned the idea to Jeff and he said a hearty “Yes!” He was enthusiastic about it too. So we ordered some of these adorable 1/2 oz. tins from Mountain Rose Herbs and got busy.

We finished them just in time for our first weekend at Holiday Market. I couldn’t help but stare at them and remark (again and again) how cute they were!

It’s such a convenient size for on-the-go and this healing salve is always good to have on hand. We’ve been getting such great feedback about our salve and it makes us so happy. I’m personally addicted to the stuff and just started using it for chapped lips too. The healing properties are amazing, but I would use it just for the scent alone! (Mmm…a delicious blend of lavender, beeswax and tea tree…)
Jeff made a sign for our market booth, next to our salves, that says “Perfect for Stocking Stuffers.”
We are selling the Mini size for $5.
It’s available on our Etsy Shop and at our Holiday Market booth every weekend until Christmas.

We’ve been busy this week, elving again, to get ready for this weekend. We’ll be at Holiday Market on Saturday and Sunday. A two day market will be much easier than three days (like the previous weekend.)

Last Sunday, we found a fallen oak branch next to where we parked our truck at market. We brought it home and started slicing it on the bandsaw. Beautiful! Now we are finishing up some gorgeous oak earrings. They have such an incredible grain and there is moss and lichen covering the bark, making them very earthy looking, just how we like. We also got some reclaimed Western Red Cedar from our friend. It’s gorgeous too (with a deep red hue in the center) and we’ll have lots of earrings in those. They smell like heaven (if you love the smell of cedar like we do.)  Lots more buttons and inlay pendants too! Jeff is hoping to finish some more carved lightswitch plate covers, since they have been so well loved lately, but we’ll see how much more we can finish….
