This is a picture I took of our friend Amy, at Holiday Market, wearing her vintage jacket.
She found it at a thrift store and honestly- wasn’t quite sure about it at first. She said it had some rather awful, large plastic buttons. But then, she removed them and added some of our sassafras buttons and suddenly she was very sure about that jacket.
She said that the sassafras buttons completely transformed it and gave it a whole new look. I didn’t see it before, but I know I absolutely loved her jacket when she came walking into our booth to show us.
Seeing her jacket, made Jeff and I ready to head to the thrift shops for some thrifting adventures! To make it even better, she wore a pair of our large cedar earrings, with the same warm hue.
We got the cedar wood in our backyard when we were trimming branches. The great thing about the cedar (besides it’s incredible beauty) is that it’s a very lightweight wood, so we can make large earrings that aren’t very heavy. For fun, we brought along some cedar essential oil to our market booth and put some on each pair of cedar earrings we sold (when we remembered), so the wearer could enjoy the scent throughout the day.
Speaking of our earrings and Amy…. you can now find a selection of our wooden earrings in Amy’s shop, Nest, located at 1235 Willamette St. in Eugene, Oregon. Open Monday-Saturday from 11 am to 5:30 pm.

That jacket is gorgeous (as are the buttons)! Will you have similar earrings in your Etsy shop soon?
