That spring-like weather with all those flowers blooming? It doesn’t feel like spring today. A cold storm came through last night, bringing some hail and a light dusting of snow. We are staying warm inside. Jeff’s been carving and I’ve been posting new items on Etsy (good thing I got some pictures yesterday before the storm came in.)
We have some new tree pendants in our Mystic Orb shop. Our shop was low on trees and it just didn’t look the same without lots of tree pendants there! The tree pendants feel like the heart of our Mystic Orb shop, it feels more like “home” with them. We love them and can’t get enough of them, to be honest.
Above is the first tree pendant that Jeff ever carved in alder wood. We had some alder wood from our yard and Jeff was curious about it. After he finished, we were both loving the alder.
This tree necklace is in reclaimed birdseye maple burl wood. I love the warm honey hue!
Jeff was excited about the alder wood and carved this one next. What he really loved about this piece was the dark grain that looked like a moon in the sky.
And this one he carved in an amazing piece of reclaimed Myrtlewood.

Ahh, we’re so happy to have more trees in the shop. I love how each and every one has it’s own unique character.

On our Wooly Moss Roots shop, I’ve been posting some new button sets. The ones above are in reclaimed black walnut wood. We were so excited to have some of that wood to work with!
These large ones are in cedar from the backyard.
This small set is in reclaimed western red cedar.
I have many more buttons to post. My mom said to me recently, “there’s just something so happy about buttons.” I couldn’t agree more.
I also added something new that we are excited about- smudging bundles. We have three cedar smudging bundles, two with lavender from our garden. I love the ritual of smudging the house from time to time, which I’ve written about here. I’ve usually used sage bundles, but Jeff isn’t too fond of the smell. He likes the smell of the cedar and lavender much better.
And did you know that we have organic seeds available in our Wooly Moss Roots shop also? We’ve been saving seeds from our garden and have decided to offer them there. We have calendula, self heal, plantain, parsley, and catnip. Also, we have st.john’s wort plant starts for sale. Just in time for spring!
It feels good to be getting the shops filled up.
