Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Flowers blooming. (Like the forsythia above.)
.
-Being at the ocean on a gorgeous, sunny day.
.
-Laughing as my mom and Bracken chased seagulls.
.
-Watching Bracken’s excitement over birds and dogs. Two of his favorite things.
.
-A nap! I don’t even remember when the last time I took a nap was. I was tired and completely surrendered and let go to sleep, since Bracken was already napping. I love sleep.
.
-Music night with my mom and grandma on their last night. We all played instruments, it was so fun. And Bracken got so excited when he blew in the wooden flute and made sound come out.
.
-The time with my mom and grandma.
.
-For each and every order on our Etsy Shops. We’re so grateful.
.
-Organic avocados on sale.
.
-Reading our friend April’s birth story. We enjoyed that.
.
-Watching this video with a small girl in Africa, friend of the animals. It’s in french, so we didn’t understand the words (even though I studied french), but the imagery was moving and powerful.
.
-Finding an oak cabinet on sale at the thrift store, for organizing wood in Jeff’s shop. It was the perfect size and looked like it was made for the exact spot we needed it to be.
.
-Cooking and preparing food. I enjoy it so much.
.
-Looking forward to bedtime each night to read more out of my book.
.
-Dreaming about our friend and seeing her the next day.
.
-Seeing lots of white feathers. Meaningful to me. A good omen that makes me smile.
.
-Having a scary dream one night and turning it around. As someone came after me, I suddenly realized I was dreaming and said “I’m dreaming right now so there’s nothing you can do to hurt me.” The fear lifted, what a relief! I no longer had to protect myself or run away. It felt very empowering.
.
-Posting lots of new creations in our shops.
.
-Reading about catnip tea being good for teething. I gave some to Bracken when his teeth were bothering him and it worked wonders! How awesome.
.
-Mom introducing us to the music of Alison Krauss. She has such a beautiful voice.
.
-Being a mother. I love being a mother, with all my heart and soul.
.
-Talking to my sister before she left for Mexico (without access to a phone for a month) on her kayaking course.
.
-Bracken reminding me to lighten up and play!
.
-For friendships that enrich our lives.

Oh yes, there is so much to be grateful for when we take the time to notice.
