My mom and grandma are arriving later tonight, after Bracken’s bedtime. They are on an airplane, heading towards us as we speak. We’ve been so excited for them to visit!
As we started doing some extra cleaning around the house to prepare for them, one thing led to another and before we knew it we were rearranging the entire house it seemed. As we looked around us at the utter disarray, we wondered why in the world we decided to tackle such huge projects right before their arrival. Jeff said “this would have been nice to have started a few weeks ago..” and I knew just how he felt, but you never know when the inspiration will strike and you just have to go with it when it comes. We had no idea how we were going to get the house back in order before their arrival and we were sweatin’ it at times, but we felt that somehow it would all come together just in time.
And it did!
We are looking around us, feeling so proud of all we accomplished. Now, we are happily exhausted and can’t wait to show them all the changes we made.
We are looking forward to being with them, and in a nice clean house makes it even better!

Have a GREAT TIME with them! I love how four generations will be together all at once. That’s so special!!!
My grandparents are all long gone, unfortunately.
