Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Learning to identify more wild plants around here, bit by bit.
.
-Trying soap nuts for the first time and loving them! Our clothes came out so clean. They’re earth-friendly, affordable and awesome from what I can tell so far.
.
-Watching Bracken’s happiness while playing in the garden. Dirt flinging. Smile from ear to ear.
.
-One morning where all three of us slept in a little extra when we all needed it.
.
-Having a dream where I was searching everywhere for a sauna and then getting some exercise the next day and having a good, cleansing sweat. I needed it. It feels good to sweat!
.
-Jeff working wonders on my sore neck one night, massaging it with some of our Magical Relieving Salve. It helped immensely.
.
-Jeff getting some gift certificates for his birthday. We’ve got some heirloom seeds on the way! Yippee!
.
-Sprouting sunflower seeds and then slowly drying them on a low heat in the oven. We’ve been snacking on them and ground some up for sunflower seed brownies for Jeff’s belated birthday dessert. Yum!
.
-Seeing the cleaning and organizing Jeff did in some of his work spaces. It’s amazing what a difference that can make, isn’t it?
.
-A surprise letter in the mail from a friend. Handwritten letters are such a treat!
.
-Some treasures from the thrift store. Fun fun!
.
-Warm-hearted comments on here. There are days when things in the world can get you down and a few kind words can lift your spirits immensely.
.
-Gently carrying a sleeping Bracken in my arms, up to bed when he fell asleep on me. His little sleeping face is just too sweet.
.
-A little time quietly needle-felting, so meditative and relaxing.
.
-The way my hands smelled so good after making more Lavender Cedar Smudging Bundles.
.
-Walks with Bracken around the place and him bending over to pick flowers, collecting them as we went along.
.
-That I don’t get headaches as often as I used to. They are pretty rare for me now, but there was a time I got them all the time. This week I had a nasty one, no fun at all. It quite knocked me off my feet.
.
-Bracken bringing me his sippy cup when I was laying on the couch and he knew I wasn’t feeling well.
.
-Warm sunshine to relax for a moment in.
.
-Time outside.

Oh, your sweet Bracken. What a dear little guy. Those sleeping faces are so beautiful.
I’m glad you hear about your experience with soapnuts. I’ve been thinking I must track some down to try.
Wishing a you blessed beginning to your week. 🙂

Soap nuts I’ve always wanted to try, but Mtn Rose is always out of them when I’m ordering– but this reminds me to try again to get them!
How wonderful you have such a nice yard and garden for Bracken to grow up in! That’s so cool.
I love your dream, haha!
A massage from your honey is always wonderful.
Happy Birthday to Jeff! Gift certificates, YAY!
Sprouted sunnies are so yummy!
Oh gawd, headaches can completely flatten you. I hate them! They just take over, and I’m so glad you don’t get them often. Before I got sick they were only a once-in-a-blue-moon thing for me, but while I was really ill they were a very regular thing, like migraines. I now have much more of an idea how awwwful they can be!
How sweet Bracken’s gesture of kindness toward you while you weren’t feeling well. What a sweetie.
Warm sunshine, yes! Time outside, yes!
So much love to you!!

Lovely list Taryn.
I’ve seen soap nuts in a local shop and have been wondering about them.
Glad you don’t suffer with headaches so much…I always suffer if I get tense at all, or tired, and I avoid lots of foods too!
So grateful to communicate with you here.
Much love
