Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Time outside. Sunkissed skin. How good it feels to be barefoot.
.
-Making roasted vegetables when I was craving them. Beets, broccoli, and carrots drizzled with home-rendered lard and olive oil. Yum.
.
-Our sauerkraut ready to eat!! (A really good batch.) And Jeff jarring it all up in the fridge. Then chopping up cabbage and getting the next batch started.
.
-Creating a delicious dinner with scrambled eggs (thanks friends), zucchini, avocado, and sauerkraut. Loved that combo.
.
-The smell of henna lingering in my hair for days after. Mmmm.
.
-Sun to dry the clothes on the line and get caught up make progress on the mountain of laundry. I loved when Bracken played near my feet while I hung them up and then standing back and seeing all the clothes gently swaying in the breeze.
.
-Getting more firewood stored for the winter. Every little bit helps and we’ll appreciate the warmth it will bring.
.
-Open windows infusing the space with fresh air.
.
-Getting the oil changed in the truck. Felt good to take the time to do that.
.
-Productive time with lots of movement. I love seeing progress!
.
-Watching Jeff and Bracken playing and laughing together.
.
-Hummingbirds coming so close to us. Sometimes they flew so close they startled us, but we loved it. And watching them drink from the fuschias, irises, and bleeding hearts was delightful.
.
-My mind chatter quieting and suddenly hearing the birds singing so beautifully. I was grateful to have my awareness brought back to the present, where all the beauty is. Made me wonder how much we miss in the present when our minds are so busy and noisy.

.
-Jeff making the best tasting collards I’ve ever had in my life. With onions and bone broth. They were so good. When he gets inspirations in the kitchen, I always know I’m in for a treat.
.
-An abundance of delicious strawberries.
.
-Projects being more enjoyable with music playing.
.
-Jeff cleaning and thawing out the freezer. It had a lot of frost which greatly reduced the space in there. Now we can start the season of storing food away, with more space and keep it organized as we go along.
.
-An incredible, good-omen dream that filled me with awe and made me feel so happy.
.
-All the hard work the farmer’s do to grow and raise food to bring to farmer’s market each week. My heart fills when I’m carrying a basket of vegetables from the farmer’s market and we deeply appreciate all that good food. Thanks Farmers!
.
-Getting Bracken a new car seat and Jeff making him a fort with the big box.
.
-Being home again after a long, hot market day. We were all exhausted and so happy to be home.
