Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Trying a new recipe. I always enjoy doing that. It’s fun to take a food you eat regularly and prepare it in a new way, making it so different.
.
-Getting the laundry brought in off the line right before the rain came.
.
-Our family getting excited about “firsts.” Last week it was the first honeysuckle blooming (they smell so heavenly!) and this week it was the first rose and the first St.John’s Wort blooming.
.
-Fresh cilantro on our salad. Love cilantro.
.
-Going to sleep after a rough day and feeling much better the next morning. Sleep works wonders, doesn’t it?
.
-The peace that a pencil, paper, and some quiet time drawing during Bracken’s nap, brought to me.
.
-Clearing a new small garden space. We removed a large (non-edible) plant that was there and now we have space for a few rosemary plants and a few blueberry bushes!
.
-Time outside with all of us moving our bodies, enjoying the fresh air, and making progress in the yard.
.
-The first day of Summer!
.
-Jeff making a batch of magical Elderberry Syrup. Bracken had a little cough and that syrup worked it’s magic on him.
.
-A wake-up call. I had been in a funk early in the week. I was grouchy and just felt like complaining. Then Bracken wasn’t feeling well. He was getting in a ton of new teeth and had a cough. Seeing someone I love so dearly, not feeling well, snapped me out of it. I held him close and spent more time caring for him and less doing other things. I remembered to count my blessings and be grateful for my life.
.
-Prayer bringing peace and making me feel more connected to my Spirit.
.
-Some gorgeous weather in between the rain.
.
-One morning Bracken sleeping in = me sleeping in = Jeff having some hours of quiet to himself (he always wakes up early) = a good morning and start to the day for everyone.
.
-Rain watering the garden for us for a few days.
.
-Laughter. Lovely lovely laughter and how it can make me feel like a whole new person.
.
-Connecting with a new guide that made my heart feel much lighter.

.
-Seeing Jeff’s legs sticking out of Bracken’s cardboard fort and hearing them laugh together in there. Jeff doesn’t quite fit, but he plays with Bracken in there anyway. I love it.
.
-Having a weekend at home and a break from market.
.
-Drinking warm ginger honey tea while I while I write this (with Jeff’s elderberry honey, that is) and looking out the window at the mountains and sunshine, seeing that today is going to be a very beautiful day.
