Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-The first poppy blooming in the garden, followed by a little tiny one. And now new ones daily. So beautiful.
.
-Reading all the Gratitude Sunday lists of those that participated last week. It brought me a lot of joy.
.
-Some major organization in Jeff’s workshop. What a difference!
.
-Bracken still reaching out to hold my hand to walk with me or lead me somewhere and show me something, even as he gets more independent. It melts my heart every time he wants to hold my hand.
.
-Fresh, local fruit! Raspberries, cherries, strawberries… mmm! It feels like a divine treat every time we eat them. And soon it will be blueberries!
.
-The sense of calm and well being that washes over me when I smell fresh lavender.
.
-Jeff being able to see a whole lot better after his eye appointment.
.
-Bracken picking flowers and handing them to us as gifts. Little sweetheart.
.
-All the things Jeff does around here, each and every day. He’s my hero. Thank you honey!
.
-My mom calling and making me laugh. She’s good at that.
.
-Carrying Bracken up to bed when he fell asleep on me. What a feeling it is, carrying your little one in your arms, gazing at their sleeping face. A feeling to savor, for sure.
.
-The way the mountains make the sound of the river louder and carry so much farther.

.
-Bracken helping water the blueberries with his bucket while I watered them with the hose. He loves helping with whatever we are doing.
.
-Watching Bracken play with his friends and having so much fun running around under the shade of the trees, at market yesterday.
.
-A breeze blowing all day at the market, that really helped in the heat. (Knowing how I can get a little- ahem- grouchy in hot weather, I appreciated that.)
.
-Listening to Son Maleo (traditional Latin dance music) at the market stage. I said to Jeff, “this is my kind of music!” Boy, does it inspire dancing!
.
-Seeing so many friends at market. We enjoyed that a lot.
.
-Good food from local farms and farmer’s market. Grateful for all the farmer’s hard work and for a few wonderful trades yesterday that blessed us with an abundance of delicious local food.
.
-Looking forward to a Sunday at home today (and hoping for a lot of garden time.)
