-Fresh clean sheets! (And how much fun Bracken had running under them, squealing with delight and running with glee, when they were hanging on the line like a tent.)
.
-A lesson in sanding. I worked at Jeff’s wet-sanding machine. It made me nervous working with such a small piece of wood next to fast-moving sandpaper. It gave me a deeper appreciation of all the work Jeff does.
.
-How beautiful all the colors looked in a jar of fermented vegetables I made, with orange carrots and purple and green cabbage.
.
-A magical dream. I was standing next to Jeff, in an open field, as we looked at the horizon. Suddenly a line of large brown and white owls came flying overhead. I said aloud that I wished a feather would fall and suddenly a giant white feather came floating down from one of the owls. I went to pick it up. White feathers have special meaning for me and I woke up with a smile.
.
-Harvesting lettuce for our salad moments before eating it for lunch. Talk about life force!
.
-Falling asleep to thunder and lightning. I love thunderstorms. They weren’t as loud and roaring as the glorious ones I enjoyed when I lived in the Midwest, but they shook the house pretty good a few times.
.
-Feeling extra cozy and comfortable in one of Jeff’s big t-shirts.
.
-Being spontaneous and being so glad we were!
.
-Jeff and I respecting and honoring each other’s intuitive feelings. I’m grateful we can share them with each other so completely. Following them has helped our family many times.
.
-Feeling more lighthearted after a day when I woke up with a heavy heart. The contrast makes the good seem even better, huh?
.
-Jeff securing the screen in our bedroom. There was a big gap in it, which made me not want to open the window, even on hot days when it really needed to be open. (Let’s just say too many experiences waking up with bats in our room, that I don’t care to repeat.) The fresh breeze in there never felt so good.
.
-My friendship with my mom. I cherish it.
.
-A day of sun to get lots of laundry hanging on the line.
.
-The days of rain that watered the garden. Especially grateful for water, with all the droughts happening.
.
-Cleaning and organizing. Cleaning and organizing!
.
-Reading Lindsey’s post that lavender oil works on bee stings. Good to know! I love learning new things.
.
-Another powerful dream, about a leap of faith. Jeff and I were in an old VW van. He was driving and I was in the passenger seat. Then he drove off the mountainside and we were in the air. We were flying, but I was afraid to fall. I could feel Jeff’s presence next to me, like a reassuring reminder to relax and trust, just like my heart told me. We landed safely and continued on our way.
.
-Continuing to contribute more to our family’s income. I’ve always helped in so many ways, but as I do even more for our business, I feel a deeper sense of satisfaction.
.
-For Bracken’s naps. I really really need that time to myself every day. Thank goodness for that time. (Friday he didn’t take his nap till nearly 5 pm, which was very out of the norm, and boy did I need it when it finally happened.)
.
-Finishing a needlefelted elf face on Friday evening and then selling it Saturday morning, before market was even open. I was so excited!
.
-Trying marionberries for the first time. Yum!
.
-Savoring Baby Hazel’s sweetness and snuggles, when our friends visited at market. What a zen-feeling little baby she is.
