-Taking a break from an obsessive work stretch when Bracken begged to go outside. I plopped down in the grass in exhaustion, layed on my back on the earth, and looked up at the clouds going by.
.
-Jeff taking Bracken when I really needed some time to myself, even though he had a lot of work to do.
.
-Learning about allowing emotions. Most of my life I always stuffed and hid my feelings. Now I’m expressing them and learning from them.
.
-Feeling so much better after a day where I was a total grumpus (thanks to Ashley for that fantastic word.) Then Bracken caught the grouchiness, then Jeff, and soon we were a house full of grumps. The next day we turned it all around and life was much more fun.
.
-The peace that my daily early morning clean-up brings me. When I tidy up the house, it gives us a fresh start to the day. The toys that get sprawled everywhere and the messes that get made later, oh well, as long as the day can start in a serene state.
.
-Taking pictures for Etsy while Jeff and Bracken played in the pool.
.
-Jeff harvesting chamomile flowers in the garden and putting them in our sun tea.
.
-Bracken showing more interest in toys and entertaining himself for longer periods of time by my feet while I can get things done. That’s so wonderful!
.
-Reaching the goal of having 200 items in our Wooly Moss Roots Shop by August 1. We worked our buns off to get there and boy did it feel good!
.
-Getting the message that I need to fully trust where my heart leads and not worry so much.
.
-Bracken grabbing his little broom to help me when I was sweeping the living room floor. (Remember this post?)
.
-Following our spontaeous urge to swing by the beach.
.
-Running, skipping, and splashing in the ocean water with pure glee and having a few moments where I felt like a kid again.
.
-Wearing my “genie pants.” They’re so comfy. I wore them all the time when I was pregnant with Bracken and then forgot about them. Now they’re back in action.
.
-Watching a baby robin learning how to fly in our front yard, with mama robin keeping a close watch. That was a highlight of our week.
.
-Listening to this podcast by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (that Ginny recommended) about knitting and it’s many benefits (theta waves = fascinating.) Jeff and I were cracking up. Hilarious and informative.
.
-Seeing the phrase “storms bring rainbows.” I like that.
.
-Making it through the very hot market day yesterday. I’m proud of us! (And appreciate Jeff bringing coolers of ice and a spray bottle.)
.
-Trying two varieties of plums from the farmer’s market and they were so good. (The tart yellow ones were my favorite.)
.
–Savanna Coen‘s voice at the market stage. It’s easy to see that music is one of her gifts and I appreciate her sharing it with the world.
