Today I’m joining Ginny’s Yarn Along, sharing what I’m knitting and reading.
.
I finished a little purple elf hat for Hazel and was able to deliver it to her yesterday. I was going to wait to give it to her for her birthday in February, but instead I chose the hottest day of the year.
With all the cowls I’ve been knitting lately, I actually started one for myself! I love love the colors, so earthy and woodsy. I’m using some handspun wool (in a color called ‘Harvest’) from sweet Karen, of Gift of Grace Handspun. I’m doing the moss stitch (or seed stitch) for the first time and really enjoying it. Plus I love the name “moss stitch” which goes well with my moss-colored cowl.
I had so many books next to the bed and knew I needed to finish some up. I finished ‘Trust Your Vibes’. I finished ‘Respect the Spindle’ and returned all my library books which felt good.
Then I started ‘The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’, which I picked up for a buck at a sale. As soon as I started it, it sounded like another book comes first, ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.’ So then I debated whether to keep reading or get the Tow Sawyer book and start with that? Have any of you read them? What do you think?
.
By the way, here’s Hazel with her hat yesterday (yummy):
How about you? Are you knitting warm wooly things in the middle of summer, like me?
Any fun knitting projects? Any good reads?
