Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-The feeling of being in warm sunshine. Warm, but not too warm. Just perfect.
.
-A little progress organizing some craft things. It’s a start.
.
-Going through clothes I had set aside to fit Bracken “someday” and discovering they fit now. Funny how that happens so quickly, isn’t it?
.
-Buying a soup ladle for Bracken at a thrift shop. His new favorite toy. He ladles water in the yard and pours it from one container to the next.
.
-Setting up two wood chairs Jeff made and having a new favorite spot to sit outside. I love when we all sit there together and take a moment to breathe more deeply.
.
-Going outside two nights before bed to look up at the moon and stars, and around us at the world bathed in the light of night. (And to enjoy our new seats, a good way to welcome them on their first night.)
.
-The miracle of magnesium oil. Jeff was having awful leg cramps. We both had a hunch about magnesium oil, so he got some and it has literally made him feel like a whole new person.
.
-Getting somewhere just in the nick of time before they closed.
.
-Getting to see our friend and her brand new baby boy.
.
-Seeing an incredible chicken coop at the farm store that inspired us for one we’d like to make.
.
-Buying our food from a local farm, rather than a grocery store. Every time we do that, it feels so good.
.
-Cleaning out our truck. (Admittedly, it had gotten embarrassing.) Now for a good vacuum..
.
-Bracken being mesmerized by the cyclone that forms when the water is going down the drain in the bathtub, just like I used to be. He constantly reminds me of the wonder in the world from a child’s perspective.
.
-Jeff and I communicating and coming back together as a team after we had been taking our frustrations out on each other.
.
-Thinking of things to be grateful for on days when I wasn’t feeling particularly grateful.
.
-Seeing a moth in the window one night, escaping from a web and flying towards the light. It had me thinking:
Always go towards the light. When you get caught in the sticky web of confusion in the world… continue on towards the light.
.
-Jeff and Bracken blowing on dandelions and the sound of Bracken’s delighted giggles.
.
-The blueberry stains washing out of our clothes! I thought they would have blue spots forever and was delightfully surprised when they didn’t.

-Winter squash baked in the oven. Yum.
.
-Our neighbor sharing some concord grapes with us from his backyard because he knows how much we love them. (Thanks Brandon!)
