Today I’m joining Ginny’s Yarn Along, sharing what I’m knitting and reading.
.
I finished knitting an adorable elf hat in the sweetest handspun yarn (spun by Camilla, of Twist & Twine Yarns.) The colorway was called ‘Flora and Fauna.’ I loved the colors and I loved knitting with the soft wool. I finished it with a daisy I cut out of felted wool and one of our buttons in reclaimed sassafras in the center of it. Bracken was so kind as to model the girly hat for me so I could get some pictures. (I made it to sell in our market booth or here online in the shop. I’ve been thinking about wanting to have our Holiday Market booth full of handknits: lots of hats and cowls among other things.) Ravelry notes here. I have a feeling it will go to a gentle spirit who adores flowers.
As for reading, I finished ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ last night. What an adventurous spirit he has.
Now to share some more pictures of the hat.
