Joining Ginny’s Yarn Along, sharing what I’m knitting and reading.

I frogged the hat for myself as I realized I need to make some changes. I’ll start it again. In the meantime, I started a pair of socks for Jeff in some blue yarn I’ve had for years. It’s a blend of hemp and wool, sturdy and perfect for socks I think. I’m following this pattern I found on Ravelry. (Yes, I’m actually following a pattern, can you believe it? This is a big knitting moment for me.) The ribbing pattern is knit 3, purl 1. This part is easy and great for car knitting. When I get to turning the heel, I might need to get some help from knitting friends, we’ll see. 

I finished reading ‘Yarn Harlot’. It was so funny. I’m going to pass it along to my grandma to read, I think she’ll get a kick out of it. Now I’m reading the third issue of Taproot and enjoying it a lot. Reading magazines feels like a luxury to me.
