Here is our market booth this past Saturday.
On the front left you can see our new earring display board. It’s a louver that Jeff found on sale. He oiled it with some linseed oil and then built wood panels across the back so that when we hang the earring cards on it, they don’t fall out. We lay the whole board down flat in our truck when we travel (with the earrings attached) so when we get to market we just hang the entire board up. Having the earrings already on the board when we get there saves us so much time! That makes us really happy. It fits 65 earrings on it (yes, Jeff has been busy) and they’re right up front so people can easily see them as they walk past.
On the right side of the booth is our new magnet display board. It’s just a random piece of metal that we found at the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Eugene for a few bucks. Jeff saw the long narrow shape and thought it would be perfect and it is! We attach it along the front of our shelves. We noticed that our magnets were not as popular when we had them inside our booth, but having them right at the front gives them a lot more attention.
We put the tarp from our roof down in the back to keep it a little warmer since it was chilly that morning. Normally we have it open (which looks nicer.)
We had some ladies come to our booth looking for buttons, who found us on SouleMama blog. That was a nice surprise.
We have a few of our bamboo necklaces left.
A peek in our glass case, with a reflection of earrings above.
Two boards with pendants, a few boxes, and the wooly wizard.
Bracken talking on his calculator aka phone. (With Jeff holding onto him while he’s sitting on the high chair.)
Bracken showing me his static-y hair from walking against the tarp. (That’s berry stains on his face- surprise surprise.) It was a good October market day. Holiday Market starts in November and we have much to do to get ready for it, and of course, more fun ideas for our booth.
