Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Sights of simple beauty. Like morning raindrops on kale in the garden.
.
-A push to get lots of things done (with a wild storm on the way and possibility of power outages) and then having our electricity after all.
.
-Being safe, cozy, and warm inside while it poured, blew, and stormed outside.
.
-Jeff baking a casserole that made the whole house smell divine (and it tasted divine too!)
.
-Elderberry tea. Love love elderberries.
.
-Woolens washed by the rain and then dried by the stove.
.
-Singing as loud as I want and as silly as I want, and having two other sillies join me.
.
-Bracken pointing out the window at the moon and howling like a dog. It was so funny and sweet. (He got that from a book we read.)

.
-Jeff reaching over in the night and holding my hand. I felt so blessed to have him by my side. (With Bracken snuggled between us sleeping soundly.)
.
-Witnessing a blissful smile cross Bracken’s face in his sleep. He was nursing and then fell asleep on me. I savored his sweet self in my arms and loved catching his sleep smile moment.
.
-Bracken singing on the phone to his Aunt Sam on her birthday. It was way too cute.
.
-Enjoying the special treat of lamb on Thanksgiving. Our favorite.
.
-Getting our house back! We had market stuff everywhere and it was chaos. We’re all so happy to have our space back in more order.
.
-The thoughtful, sweet things that Jeff does all the time, expressing love in simple gestures each day.
.
-Turning on the music when we had more to do in a day than what seemed possible and having it inspire action and moving things right along. It was nice to be surprised by how much we accomplished.
.
-Really liking the changes we made in our market booth this year. It’s fun to see it evolve over time.
.
-Arriving at market to find a surprise gift in our booth for Bracken. Handmade love from a market friend, what a nice welcome to the start of market. (Thank you Kim!)
.
-Chatting with a mama friend at market and while watching our kiddos play together.
.
-Wonderful things at market: seeing friends, listening to music, meeting new people, receiving appreciation for our art and feeling inspired by others’ art.
.
-Our market friend making such fabulous shoes that Bracken has loved wearing his whole life.
.
-Making it through the challenges of market (like keeping mr. two year old happy for 8 plus hours in a crowded public place) and giving ourselves a pat on the back at the end of each day.
.
-Jeff driving in the morning to market (when it’s light out for me to knit) and me driving home at night (when he doesn’t enjoy driving and when I can’t knit anyway.)
.
-Managing to miss hitting the three racoons that ran right in front of us on the highway.
.
-Appreciating our “neighborhood” at Holiday Market. It’s a fun community.
.
-Jeff surprising me with some yarn I wanted that he knew I wouldn’t buy myself.
.
